The site model is made of balsa wood.
and the building is made of baked plastic clay. I made the model and baked it myself.

• This pair of pictures (below) emulate both the polar day and polar night conditions.

• They also show that the observation space is higher than the documentation space, so that the astronomer can get a nice view out on the night sky.
